Brooklyn Nets GuardSpencer Dinwiddie
Spencer Dinwiddie was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. During his collegiate career at the University of Colorado, he broke the school record for the most points scored without missing a single shot and helped his team earn its first NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament appearance in 10 years. After overcoming what most might consider a career-ending injury, Spencer declared for the NBA Draft at the culmination of his junior year.
By the end of the 2015-2016 NBA season, Spencer was traded from the Detroit Pistons to the Chicago Bulls. Despite being waived by the Bulls, Spencer persevered and excelled in the NBA D-League. His performance there ultimately landed a three-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets in December 2016, proving that hard work pays off. In February 2018, Spencer was the only Nets player to participate in NBA All-Star Weekend where he took home first place in the Skills Challenge.
Outside of basketball, Spencer continues to push himself just as hard as an entrepreneur. When he’s not owning the boardroom or the basketball court, he enjoys spending time with family.
