K8IROS 8.1 – W.E.B. DuBois
William Edward Burghardt Du Bois, better known as W.E.B., was an African-American scholar and activist whose work transformed the way that the lives of black citizens were seen in American society. Du Bois became the first African American to earn a Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1895, and was one of the founders of the NAACP in 1909. We’re proud to honor this Massachusetts native on the court in Boston.
This shoe was game worn by Spencer Dinwiddie on January 7, 2019, when the Brooklyn Nets played the Boston Celtics at TD Garden in Boston, MA.
